DESCRIPTION:Welcome to our popular When Seconds Count  “When YOU are the help until help arrives” course.  A 90 minute informational class for a broad audience appropriate for all ages.  We have found many people do not need a certificate card to put in their wallet\, but do want to be prepared for common medical emergencies in the home and workplace.  In a quick 1 ½ hours the course covers: \n\n\n\nPatient assessment\nCPR\, Giving compressions & breaths\nHow to use an AED\nChoking\nBleeding control\nFainting/Seizures\nDiabetic emergencies\nOpioid overdose/Narcan\nAllergic reactions – Anaphylaxis – Epi-Pens\nConcussions\nNose bleeds\nAnd more..\n\n\n\n The class is informal and we welcome questions from students\, but very much “hands-on” with CPR practice on Adult\, Child and Infant manikins providing compressions and breaths\, Use of Epi-Pen and Narcan trainers\, and controlling bleeding with gauze\, direct pressure and bandages.
