Certified Chokesaver Training for Massachusetts Food Service Establishments
Your local City or Town’s Board of Health enforces the following Mass Department of Public Health State Law:
Pursuant to M.G.L. C. 94, section 305D, each food service establishment having a seating capacity of 25 persons or more shall: Have on its premises, while food is being served, an employee trained in manual procedures approved by the Department to remove food lodged in a person’s throat. Make adequate provisions for insurance to cover employees trained in rendering such assistance.
